Spring Blooms: Student Writing
On April 29th, the ACES gathered in the Bloodgood Garden for a creative writing workshop. Inspired by the quiet beauty of the outdoors and gentle breeze, students produced a variety of expressive works.
The following pieces, a mix of verse and flash fiction, are just a small sample of the creativity captured during the session.
The mirror has two faces
If you asked me if I wanted more joyful experiences in my life, I wouldn't be at all sure I did, exactly because it proves such a difficult emotion to manage.
Joy, shadow, love, sorrow, drama. How marvelous. Where does it come from? How is it generated? And why must it leave us, change and disappear?
The metaphorical masks keep piling up. It cannot reveal its true identity.

Beyond wine.
Sometimes in an era lovers allow maintaining priority, rather than bottling. Story while the light will be filling as warm weather. I can happily order grapes as mouthwatering whites with citrusy acidity.
The medium bodied richness, an overtone lemon preserves. Perfect pairing cherry tomatoes, sicily thrives on the slopes food-pairing with grilled chicken, cheese with pleasing citrus and herb notes.
White wine as in blends with other grapes. Easy drinking, fleshy palate, apricot alongside, medium silky texture. These three wines take me from sipping while I choose, a value that Italy has to offer.
