When I met Laura, she said she had always had vivid, richly colored dreams that she could easily remember. The first time I met Laura, about two years ago we talked about our dreams. We met in the hospital. We were both waiting for the doctor. She was sitting to my right. She asked me what I do and about my family. She shared a dream she had the night before. She was in a beautiful garden filled with different fruit trees. She picked a pear and bit through the skin and it tasted sweet. She continued picking the fruits from the trees and none of them tasted bitter.
I wanted to share my dreams with her too. So I also shared the dream I had the night before. It was the dark night and I was in the middle of forest. I wanted to get out of the forest and run to my house, but I could not find a way. I started searching for the path. The path that led me to the dead end. As I started walking, I felt two eyes following me very quietly. I did not want to look at it, but I was curious. The two eyes were shining in the dark and they belonged to a wolf. He smelled the fear in me. I started running for my life and he followed me. I could not see the slope in the dark. I ran towards the slope and couldn’t control my body. I hit my head on a hard rock as I slipped down the slope. The blood drained from my head as I hit the rocky bottom. I woke up panting and I felt the dee, sharp pain in my head.
I told Laura I always have dark dreams, more like nightmares. We continued sharing our dreams from that day. Since that day, she takes some of my painful dreams and heals me with her colorful dreams. I am thankful to have her in my life. She is someone I can always share my dreams with and feel lighthearted.
