NY Favorites from Victoria Romão Nóbrega ('23)
The pandemic has been a surreal experience, and as we struggle to adjust to the ever-changing new world, ACES questioned students about their favorite spots to visit in New York. Are you seeking new locations to visit or things to try? Read on to find out what Victoria advises!
Q: What is your favorite bookstore that you have visited and why?
Victoria: I think my favorite bookstore is Strand bookstore because there are so many options and it is so big! Every time I go there, I go to a new floor to explore.
Q: Where do you go if you are stressed and want to relax?
Victoria: I like to go to Brooklyn Promenade the view is beautiful and it is such a good vibe there. I love to go to Little Italy, the food is so good, the people are so nice and it is great to take pictures. I love the winter villages! They are so much fun! The music is great and the stores are so cute.
Q: Where do you visit during the summer?
Victoria: I love going to Central Park during summer. It is so green and beautiful and seeing the lakes with the boats is refreshing.
Q: Do you have recommendations for students that are new to New York?
Victoria: If you are a new student in NY I would say go explore. There is so much the city has to offer. So many cool things that you can do! Also, make sure to check social media because there is always something happening in the city.
