"Inside the Forest" by Tima Ndiaye ('20)

One day I was inside a forest with my two friends, Rob and Christian. Everything was green and fresh air was all around. Both of my friends are tall and strong and think that they can do anything. However, inside the forest there is a place owned by a person who has a spiritual power. He can transform one thing to a different thing. Rob told me that he wanted to discover that place. Christian and I told Rob not to do that, but he refused to listen to us. When he started walking toward the place, I followed him, but Christian didn’t. By the time we got close to the place, I stood behind a huge tree and watched him calling the person. When the person came out not even one second, Rob’s face was transformed. I was so scared that I couldn’t do anything, so I ran away and left Rob in his new state.
